1headbutter lettuce or romaine lettuce, leaves separated
optionalchopped cilantro
optionalchopped peanuts
optionalsliced red chili
Instructions
Start by separating the lettuce leaves gently and washing them under cold water. Pat them dry with a paper towel and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger; cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
Add chopped bell peppers and water chestnuts to the skillet. Sauté for about 3 minutes until the peppers are slightly tender but still crisp.
Pour in the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Mix well and let everything simmer for another 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Take a lettuce leaf and spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture into the center. Add your choice of toppings like chopped cilantro, peanuts, or sliced chili if desired.
Roll or fold the lettuce around the filling and enjoy your flavorful wraps!
Notes
Feel free to customize the toppings based on your preference.
