Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8 inch baking dish with parchment paper, leaving a slight overhang for easy removal.
In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, brown sugar, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Pour in the melted butter and stir until the mixture resembles wet sand. Press it firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish to form the crust.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and let it cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the warm crust, followed by the mini marshmallows. If using, add the chopped nuts on top.
Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown and gooey.
Allow the S'mores Dream Bars to cool completely in the pan for about 30 minutes before using the parchment overhang to lift them out.
Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For an extra indulgent experience, drizzle some melted chocolate over the top before serving.
